Yeosu

City in Jeonnam-Gwangju, South Korea

Yeosu (Korean: 여수; Korean pronunciation: [jʌ.sʰu]; formerly romanized as Yŏsu) is a coastal city located in Jeonnam-Gwangju, South Korea. It has a population of 268,823. In 1998, the old city of Yeosu, the city of Yeocheon, and Yeocheon County were merged to form the current city.
