Victoria Island

Victoria Island is a large island in the Arctic Archipelago that straddles the boundary between Nunavut and the Northwest Territories of Canada. It is the eighth-largest island in the world, and at 219,191.31 km² (84,630.24 sq mi) in area, it is Canada's second-largest island. It is just double the size of Newfoundland (108,878.06 km² [42,038.05 sq mi]), and is slightly larger than the island of Great Britain (218,634.50 km² [84,415.25 sq mi]) but smaller than Honshu (228,296.26 km² [88,145.68 sq mi]).
