Tomás Regalado (Salvadoran politician)

Tomás Herculano de Jesús Regalado Romero (7 November 1861 – 11 July 1906) was a Salvadoran military officer and politician who served as the 18th president of El Salvador from 14 November 1898 to 1 March 1903. He gained power by deposing General Rafael Antonio Gutiérrez whom Regalado had previously helped achieve control of the country by taking part in the Revolution of the 44 four years earlier. Regalado was elected to a four-year term in 1899.
