The Region of Murcia (US also ; Spanish: Región de Murcia [reˈxjon de ˈmuɾθja]; Valencian: Regió de Múrcia) is an autonomous community of Spain located in the southeastern part of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Mediterranean coast. The region has a population of 1,586,989 in an area of 11,316.17 km² (4,369.20 sq mi) as of 2025. About a third of its population lives in the capital, Murcia.
