Pelmeni (Russian: пельмени, pronounced [pʲɪlʲˈmʲenʲɪ]; sing. pelmen, пельмень, pronounced [pʲɪlʲˈmʲenʲ]) are dumplings of Russian cuisine that consist of a filling wrapped in thin, unleavened dough. They are considered a national dish.
