Ruling dynasty of Egypt and Sudan from 1805 to 1953

The Muhammad Ali dynasty, Alawiyya dynasty, or the House of Kavala (Turkish: Kavalalılar Hanedanı) was the ruling house of Egypt and Sudan from the 19th to the mid-20th century. It is named after its progenitor, Muhammed Ali Pasha regarded as the founder of modern Egypt.
