Mangla Dam

The Mangla Dam (Urdu: منگلا بند) is a multipurpose dam situated on the Jhelum River in Pakistan, lying in the Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir and the Jhelum District of Punjab. It is the seventh-largest dam in the world. The fort of Mangla, which sits at the mouth of the dam, serves as its namesake.
