Serpent deity in Mesoamerican mythology

Kukulkan, also spelled K’uk’ulkan (lit. 'Plumed Serpent', 'Amazing Serpent'), is the serpent deity of Maya mythology. It is closely related to the deity Qʼuqʼumatz of the Kʼicheʼ people and to Quetzalcoatl of Aztec mythology.
