Gordon Dam

The Gordon Dam, also known as the Gordon River Dam, is a major gated double-curvature concrete arch dam across the Gordon River, in the South West region of Tasmania, Australia. Construction of the dam commenced in 1964 and was completed in 1974. The resultant reservoir, Lake Gordon, was established for the purpose of generating hydroelectricity via the Gordon Power Station.
