Foggia (UK: , US: ; Italian: [ˈfɔddʒa] ; Foggiano: Fògge [ˈfɔddʒə]) is a city and comune (municipality) of the region of Apulia in southern Italy, capital of the province of Foggia. With a population of 145,078, it is the 28th-largest city in Italy. Foggia is the main city of a plain called Tavoliere, also known as the "granary of Italy".
