Dijon (UK: , US: ; French: [diʒɔ̃] ; Burgundian: Digion) is a city and the prefecture of the Côte-d'Or department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France. As of 2023, the population of the commune was 161,830, making it the most populous commune in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The earliest archaeological finds within the city limits of Dijon date to the Neolithic period.
