Count Dracula
Title character of Bram Stoker's Dracula
Count Dracula is a fictional character and title antagonist of Bram Stoker's gothic horror novel Dracula (1897). He is considered the prototypical and archetypal vampire in subsequent works of fiction. Some aspects of the character have been suggested to have been inspired by the 15th-century Wallachian prince Vlad III Dracula, although the identification of Stoker's Dracula with Vlad the Impaler was proposed only decades after the novel's publication.
