Column chromatography

Method to isolate a compound in a mixture

Column chromatography

Column chromatography is a chromatography method used in analytical chemistry to separate the individual components (analytes) of a mixture. The mixture is carried by a solvent (the eluent) to form the mobile phase. The mobile phase moves through a column packed with solid particles (the stationary phase).
