A blog (a truncation of "weblog") is a website whose basic unit is a "post" or "entry", with posts typically presented in reverse chronological order. Blogging may be carried out by individuals, commercial enterprises, or organizations, and blog content varies widely. In the 2000s, blogs were often the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject or topic.
