Bernard Heuvelmans
Belgian-French scientist, explorer, and early cryptozoologist (1916–2001)
Bernard Heuvelmans (10 October 1916 – 22 August 2001) was a Belgian-French writer, explorer, and researcher known, along with Scottish-American biologist Ivan T. Sanderson, as a founding figure in the pseudoscience and subculture of cryptozoology. His 1955 book On the Track of Unknown Animals is regarded as one of the most influential cryptozoology texts.
