Amygdala

The amygdala (pl.: amygdalae or amygdalas; also corpus amygdaloideum) is a paired nuclear complex present in the cerebral hemispheres of vertebrates. It is considered part of the limbic system. In primates, it is located medially within the temporal lobes.
